Dorothy Morgan read the minutes from the Special Meeting on March 28th, Don Leverone motioned to accept the minutes, Brian Francazio 2nd the motion and the vote carried.

Treasurer's Report: Becky Dearborn A copy of the Treasurer's report was presented and approved. 2006 Tax returns have been filed. Any questions about the tax return can be directed to Becky.

Suffolk asked why we are carrying such a large bank balance on the books. It was explained to the group that it had to do with the fee structure in the beginning and the amount of money not paid out to referees due to not having full referee teams at all matches, rain outs, etc. The board will be deciding at a later date when and how to redistribute the excess funds.

Business
  • Team Fees. Team Fee Structure that was agreed to in the Special Meeting on March 28th will adjust the team fees beginning with Fall 2007 and is based upon full referee fees, awards, computer software scheduling program, etc. Some age groups fees went up and some went down. Based upon the numbers used it is anticipated that the fees v. the cost should be a break even event.
  • Review of Medals. Blue Ribbons for Champions, Green for Finalist. T-shirt was tabled since Tyge was not present. Field Availability for EOST. Teresa has most of the field information for Saturday but sill needs some for Sunday. Chesapeake needs to give more definite information as well as Suffolk needs to provide information. Teresa asked for each site to have a "Wish List" of the age groups they would like to host at their sites. If possible she will accommodate but will not guarantee. She also asked for everyone to have all of their Team information ready when they arrive at the competition seeding meeting so that they can get down to business and get done quickly so she can start working on the schedules.
  • Special Meeting on May 3rd at 7:00 p.m. is to pick up Tournament Books, medals, shirts, stat maps, etc. ONLY.
  • Status of Plaque for Cambridge College. Dorothy will email Nan to move forward.
  • Topics for May Meeting:
    • Online surveys - all clubs send an email that we have a joker in the bunch filling out the surveys, if it is them to please stop.
    • Several issues w/upset parents, with regards to CUSL and NYSL in the U16 division.
    • Need referee report with regard to issue, please bring to May meeting.
    • Lot of concerns from coaches and parents about Travel Players on advanced teams.
    • Dorothy has spent a lot of time speaking with VYSA, Matt Hinson and others about these concerns. There is no VYSA rule that says a Travel player cannot play rec. soccer, therefore there is no way to stop them from being on an advanced team.

Next meeting is scheduled for May 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Cambridge College Building.

Dorothy Morgan adjourned the meeting at 9:21. p.m.
